Create a class, invite students and manage your roster

Create a class with a name and subject, invite students with a join code or QR code, and manage the student list right from the class page.

Steps

  1. Go to “Classes” → click “Create new class”.
  2. Fill in the “Class name” (for example 12A1 — Advanced Math), choose a “Subject”, add a “Class description (optional)” if you like, then click “Create class”.
  3. Click “Open class”. The class page has the “Overview”, “Students”, “Tests”, “Assignments” and “Recent activity” tabs.
  4. Click “Invite students / QR” to get the join code and QR code (see the Join code, QR and projector guide).
  5. “Students” tab: search for students by name or email; click “Import student list” to add many students at once.
  6. To remove a student from the class: click “Delete” on that student's row, then click “Confirm removal”. The student can no longer enter the class, but their attempt history and submitted scores are kept.
  7. Click “Create test” on the class page to create an exam already linked to this class.
  • The code you give students has 8 letters and numbers, for example 7KM4-X2QD. It appears on the class card in the class list (click the copy icon to copy it quickly) and in the “Invite students / QR” box.
  • The “Tests” tab also lists archived exams, marked “Archived”: these exams no longer have a “Share” button, but you can still open their “Scores”. The “Open” tile doesn't count archived exams.
  • The “Assignments (…)” tab only counts assignments in use, not archived ones. The “Recent activity” tab also shows assignment submissions (“Assignment submitted”); people who took an exam through a share link are marked “(guest)”.
