Light or dark theme and display language
Choose a light background, a dark background or follow your device, and choose the language for Bút Nghiên's buttons and menus. Your choice is saved in the browser on the device you're using.

Steps
- Go to “Settings” (in the left sidebar, or click your avatar → “Profile & Account”).
- In the “Appearance” section, choose one of the three tiles: “Light” (Cream paper), “Dark” (Night desk) or “System” (Follows device). The colors change right away; there's no need to save.
- In the same section, on the “Language” line, open the list and choose a language. The interface text changes right away.
- To switch quickly while you work: in the top bar, click the sun/moon icon to switch between light and dark, or click the language icon to choose another language.
Options and limits
- Light / Dark
- Always use a light or dark background, whatever your device is set to.
- System
- Follows the light/dark setting of your computer or phone. This is the default.
- Icon in the top bar
- Picks light or dark explicitly. To go back to following your device, choose “System” in “Settings”.
- Available languages
- Vietnamese, English, Français, 简体中文, 日本語, 한국어, Español, Deutsch.
- Starting language
- If you haven't chosen one, Bút Nghiên uses your browser's language. If your browser uses a language that isn't on the list, the interface is shown in English.
- Theme and language are saved in this device's browser, not in your account. On another device or browser, choose them again.
- Exam content written by teachers isn't translated; only Bút Nghiên's buttons, menus and messages change language.
- Help articles also appear in the language you choose.
- The home page and the sign-in and sign-up pages also have a language button at the top.
