Sign in
Sign in with your email and password, or with Google when the page has a “Continue with Google” button. Teachers go to the teacher dashboard, students to the student dashboard, and administrators to the “System overview”.

Steps
- Open the “Sign in to your account” page (click “Sign in” at the top of the home page).
- Enter your “Email address” and “Password”. Click the eye icon if you want to check the password you typed.
- If you're on your own device and want to stay signed in longer: tick “Remember me”.
- Click “Sign in now”.
- If you open the sign-in page from a class or exam link, or from a page that requires signing in, the page says “Sign in to continue to the page you opened.” After you sign in, or create an account with “Create a new account”, Bút Nghiên takes you back to that page.
Options and limits
- “Remember me” not ticked
- You stay signed in when you reload the page, but your session expires after about 1 day.
- “Remember me” ticked
- Your session is kept for about 30 days, even if you close the browser. Your email is also filled in next time on this device. Don't use it on a shared computer.
Common errors and how to fix them
- “Sign-in failed. Please check your email or password.” → check for typos and the Caps Lock key. If you forgot your password, click “Forgot password?” right below the password box.
- “Couldn't restore your sign-in session. Please try again.” (when signing in with a linked account such as Google) → Bút Nghiên takes you back to the sign-in page after a few seconds; sign in again.
- “You cancelled sign-in with Google.” → you closed or declined the Google screen; click “Continue with Google” again if you want to retry.
- “Couldn't sign in with Google. Please try again or sign in with your email and password.” → try again; if it still fails, sign in with your email and password.
- “Sign-in with Google isn't turned on. Please sign in with your email and password.” → the Bút Nghiên server you're using hasn't turned on Google sign-in; sign in with your email and password.
- Don't have an account? Click “Create a new account” at the bottom of the sign-in page.
- The “Continue with Google” button only appears when the server has Google sign-in turned on. To stay signed in for about 30 days, tick “Remember me” before clicking the button, then choose your Google account. If your Google email doesn't have a Bút Nghiên account yet, a new account is created for it in Student mode.
